365 Days of Drawing
I realised that despite drawing for a living as an illustrator I vary rarely draw just for the sake of it these days, so I have decided to dust down my sketchbook, sharpen my 3B pencil and dedicate a moment of every day for the next year to observing the world around me or drawing something just for fun.
Even after a few days I can feel the addictive pull of reaching for my sketchbook when I see a fascinating face, a feeling I had forgotten for way to long. Its frustrating when I see a wonderful nose or funny grimace on a strangers face, but my fingers seem too wooden and slow to capture it as I have gotten out of practice..
Over the next 365 I’ll post an honest account of my days’ drawing..I expect there will be a lot of pigeons, a lot of a certain sausage dog and hopefully a few adventures.
